In the zoo, built on the “green concept” large, open pens for the animals and spacious cages containing representatives of Israel’s wildlife, such as ibex (mountain goats), deer and water foul, along with animals from different continents – mammals, reptiles and birds.
Among other animals can be seen kangaroos, black swans and imu from Australia, monkeys, parrots and marot from South America, fenek, giant deer and pearl roosters from Africa, pheasants and green ostriches from East Asia and more.
Nature lessons are held on-site for the pupils of the elementary school at Degania ‘A’
